NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s government offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, 2018 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
All recreation centers and libraries will close at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 and reopen for normal business hours starting Saturday, November 24, 2018.
The Commissioner of the Revenue and City Treasurer’s Office, Circuit Court, General District Court and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court will close at 12:00 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2018 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23, 2018.
Garbage, recycling, and the household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic waste facility services scheduled for Thursday, November 22 have been rescheduled for Saturday, November 24, 2018. Friday, November 25 collection will take place as scheduled. Requests for bulk waste collection must be made before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 by calling the Norfolk Cares IMPACT Center at (757) 664-6510, or by filling out a request online

Norfolk Residents can drop-off unwanted E-waste 24-hours a day and seven days a week at the Division of Towing and Recovery located at 1188-A Lance Road.
