[ARCHIVED] 2 adults, 1 juvenile charged in connection with stabbing in Ocean View

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Two adults and one juvenile have been charged in connection with a stabbing that sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Sunday morning.


Detectives have charged Andre H. Norman, 36, of Chesapeake and a 13-year-old boy were charged with aggravated malicious wounding and 43-year-old Kevin Sykes, of the 9500 block of 5th Bay Street, with accessory after the fact.

The charges stem from a dispute that occurred around 10:15 Sunday morning in the 9500 block of 5th Bay Street. When police arrived at the scene, they located a 32-year-old man outside suffering from several stab wounds.

The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment. His injuries are considered life-threatening.

Norman and Sykes are currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail and the juvenile, whose name is withheld, is currently being held in the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
