[ARCHIVED] City of Norfolk Offices to Close in Observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday

Offices will reopen at regular business hours on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

NORFOLK, VA – The City of Norfolk’s government offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The closures include libraries and recreation centers.  Offices will reopen at regular business hours on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  

The Consolidated Courts Complex, the Commissioner of the Revenue, the Treasurer’s Office and the Norfolk Department of Public Health will close on Friday, January 18, 2019 in observance of Lee-Jackson Day and Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Day.  These offices will also reopen at regular business hours on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.
  
Requests for bulk collection on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 must be made before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019.  For bulk waste requests, contact the Norfolk Cares Center at (757) 664-6510 or fill out a request online at http://www.norfolk.gov/requesttracker.aspx.
  
The Household Hazardous Waste and E-waste site will be closed Monday, January 21, 2019 and will reopen on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.  Residents can drop-off unwanted E-waste at the Division of Towing and Recovery located at 1188-A Lance Road, 24-hours a day and seven days a week.
