[ARCHIVED] Four arrested in connection with shooting at MacArthur Mall

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Four people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred inside Macarthur Mall on February 14, 2019.

Around 2:15 p.m., a fight occurred between two groups of people inside the first floor of MacArthur Center. During the altercation, two people were shot.

When officers arrived, they found two individuals suffering from non-life-threatening gunshots wounds. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment and are expected to be okay.

As a result of the investigation the following individuals were arrested:

18-year-old Kevin Holloman, of the 2700 block of Mapleton Avenue, has been charged with felonious assault, use of a firearm, conspiracy to commit a felony, and discharge of a firearm in a public place.

21-year-old Dquan Z. Melvin, of the 1300 block of Bolton Street, has been charged with felonious assault, use of a firearm, conspiracy to commit a felony, and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

22-year-old Dvegan M. Melvin, of the 2600 block of Grandy Avenue, has been charged with two counts of felonious assault, use of a firearm, and discharge of a firearm in a public place.

18-year-old Shawn D. Mitchell, of the City of Portsmouth, has been charged with one count of concealed weapon.

One of the suspects charged with felonious assault was shot during the incident. 

This shooting is being investigated as an isolated incident.
