[ARCHIVED] Homicide investigation underway in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police are investigating a shooting that has left one person dead.

Around 10:43 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 2600 block of Ballentine Blvd. When police arrived, they found an adult man outside of a residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man was pronounced deceased on-scene.

Police have not released any other details surrounding this investigation.

This is the first homicide in the City of Norfolk for 2019.
