[ARCHIVED] Man in motorcycle helmet robs Brink’s armored vehicle carrier at gunpoint

NORFOLK, VA. (NPD) – Police are searching for a man in a motorcycle helmet who robbed a Brink’s armored vehicle carrier at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon.

The robbery happened just after 11 a.m. in the 7600 block of Granby Street.

The robber, wearing a black motorcycle helmet and armed with a gun, approached a Brink’smap truck and demanded cash from the driver who exited the vehicle to enter into the Soap-N-Suds located at 7629 Granby Street. 

The guard complied with the suspect's demands. 

The suspect, who was last seen wearing a black motorcycle helmet, black sweatshirt, and blue jeans, fled the location in a silver vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

No injuries were reported during the incident.
