[ARCHIVED] Norfolk police officer placed on administrative duty following arrest

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – An officer with the Norfolk Police Department is on administrative duty following arrest Wednesday afternoon


Francis Bodner, 50, who is assigned to the Detective Division, has been charged with stalking, possession of stolen property, and computer trespassing. He has worked for the department since 2005. 


On 03/26/2019, a woman, who is known to Bodner, advised police detectives that he stole her property and that he was stalking her. As a result of the investigation, Bodner was arrested.


Bodner was released on a $1000 bond. He has been relieved of duty pending the outcome of the criminal trial and administrative investigation.
