[ARCHIVED] Man dies from injuries sustained in a stabbing on Church Street, Suspect Arrested

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are investigating a homicide after a man died at the hospital following a stabbing Thursday afternoon.

Around 1:40 p.m., dispatchers received a call for a stabbing victim in the 1700 block of Church Street. When first responders arrived, they found a man suffering from a stab wound.

The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he died from his injuries. The man’s identity will be released when his family has been notified.

As a result of the investigation, a man has been arrested for the homicide. The suspects identity will be released when appropriate.
