NORFOLK, VA - Out of an abundance of caution and following Governor Northam’s recent guidance, the City of Norfolk has decided to pull the permit for the 53rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade for Saturday, March 14.
We request residents that have placed tents or parked vehicles along the parade route, please remove them as soon as possible.
The City of Norfolk continues to closely monitor and work in close coordination with the Virginia Department of Health regarding COVID-19 developments.
This was not an easy decision, but ultimately we have to take into consideration the uncertainty around COVID-19 and it’s impact on our residents.
