[ARCHIVED] Enjoy the sun with a fur-ever friend from the NACC summer solstice special

NORFOLK, VA – Celebrate the solstice with a companion who worships you for the star you are – adopt a dog of 30 pounds or more for just $35.

Do you find yourself longing for a sunrise stroll on the beach or a sunset romp in the park to celebrate light and warm weather? Have we got the dog for you! Do you find yourself pining to lie in the shade with a cold drink and a good book? Have we got the dog for you!

The season or perhaps the sun has brought us an abundance of larger dogs. So find a furry Fairie. A doggy Druid. A shaggy Stonehenge. You can view all our sunny, adoptable animals online here, or head to www.norfolk.gov and click on the Pets button.

This special will last through Sunday, July 5.

We’re happy to assist you with virtual meet and greets, or outdoor meetings by appointment. We’ve updated our business hours. You can now reach us from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every day but Thursday, when we are open from 2 – 6:30 p.m.

Just give us an email or a call: nacc@norfolk.gov or 757-441-5505.
