[ARCHIVED] Man dies following overnight shooting on W 34th Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Detectives are continuing to investigate after a man was killed during a shooting early Saturday morning.

Shortly after 3:20 a.m., police responded to a gunshot victim in the 400 block of W 34th Street. When officers arrived, they located two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both men were transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

One of the victims, Daniel D. Yancey II, 29, of Norfolk, died at the hospital from his injuries. The second man is in expected to be okay.
