[ARCHIVED] Norfolk police need help identifying the suspects involved in a string of commercial burglaries

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the men who have been breaking into convenient stores during the early morning hours throughout Hampton Roads.  

Surveillance footage from inside the stores show the men are using an object to smash-out the store front glass and enter the store. Once inside, the suspects are stealing cartons of Newport Cigarettes and exiting the store.  

Since June 22, 2020 five convenient stores in Norfolk have been targeted by the suspects.

  • 7-11 – 8489 Chesapeake Boulevard
  • Seamart & Deli – 298 W Bay Avenue
  • Rite Aid- 3600 Tidewater Drive
  • Quick Serve Food Mart- 5714 Sellger Avenue
  • Dollar General -2301 Colley Avenue

The suspects are believed to be related to similar commercial burglaries that have occurred in Chesapeake, Hampton, and Newport News.
