[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police still need help identifying suspects involved in convenient store burglaries

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are working to identify the group of men who have been breaking into convenient stores across Hampton Roads.  

The latest in a string of commercial burglaries happened early Tuesday morning when police were dispatched to an alarm call at the Love Food Mart located at 1202 Granby Street around 3:00 a.m. Once on scene, the officers noticed that a glass window had been broken and items were missing from inside the store.

Surveillance footage showed that a man had broken a glass window, entered the store, and taken cartons of Newport Cigarettes.

Since June 22, 2020 five other convenient stores in Norfolk have been targeted by the suspects.

  • 7-11 – 8489 Chesapeake Boulevard
  • Seamart & Deli – 298 W Bay Avenue
  • Rite Aid- 3600 Tidewater Drive
  • Quick Serve Food Mart- 5714 Sellger Avenue
  • Dollar General -2301 Colley Avenue

The suspects are believed to be related to other commercial burglaries that have taken place in Chesapeake, Hampton, and Newport News.
