[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police investigate a shooting in Walmart parking lot

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate following a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

Around 2:50 p.m., police were dispatched to a shooting in the parking lot of the Walmart located at 1170 N. Military Highway. When officers arrived, they located a woman who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The woman was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and is expected to be okay.

Police were notified that an additional gunshot victim had walked into Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

This shooting is being investigated as an isolated incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Detectives have not released any suspect information; however, they ask for anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
