[ARCHIVED] Suspect arrested following weekend shooting on E. Princess Anne Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have arrested a man in connection to a shooting that left another man dead.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on August 8,2020 police were dispatched to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for the report of a gunshot victim. A man, later identified as Tabari C. Anthony, 21, of Norfolk, had arrived at the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Anthony later died as a result of his injuries.

Police determined that the shooting had occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Wawa located at 3360 E. Princess Anne Road.

As a result of the investigation, Detectives have arrested Joseph K. Pagano, 20, of Norfolk, with second degree murder and use of a firearm.

Pagano is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
