NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives have charged a man in connection to a shooting that left a 12-year-old boy injured Tuesday evening.
Around 6:10 p.m., on September 22, 2020 police responded for the report of a gunshot victim in the 800 block of E. Princess Anne Road. When officers arrived, they located the 12-year-old boy who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The child was transported to Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters to be treated for his injuries.
As a result of the investigation, Cevan O. Pierce, 21, of Norfolk, has been charged with three counts of each of the following: malicious wounding, use of a firearm, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
Pierce is currently a fugitive, and anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3 Tips mobile app.
Detectives have not released a motive or the circumstances surrounding this shooting.
