[ARCHIVED] Man arrested following overnight barricade situation on W 25th Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man is in custody after a barricade situation in Norfolk.

On December 28, 2020 around 8:40 p.m. Norfolk police were dispatched to a person with a weapon call in the 200 block of W. 25th Street. When officers arrived, they attempted to make contact with the occupant of a residence but were unsuccessful. 

After a brief standoff, the suspect, Jasbert L. McBride, 33, of Norfolk, was taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported. 

McBride has been charged with two counts of attempted malicious wounding, two counts of use of a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by felon. 

McBride is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.Arrest Photo - Jasbert McBride
