NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Detectives have charged a man after a 22-year-old woman and a 3-month-old infant were both found unresponsive inside a home on 6th Bay Street Tuesday afternoon.
Around 1:00 p.m. on December 29, 2020, Norfolk Police responded to an apartment complex in the 9500 block of 6th Bay Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. When Officers entered the residence, they found Epifani D. Andrews and the 3-month-old boy who were both suffering from life-threatening injuries.
Both Andrews and the infant were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police took the suspect, Duwane E. Warren, 26, of Norfolk, into custody on-scene and he has been charged with two counts of second degree murder.
Warren is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
Detectives have not released a motive or the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the exact manner and cause of death.
