[ARCHIVED] Police identify man fatally shot on Poplar Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police have identified the man fatally shot Saturday morning as 43-year-old Alfred M. Robinson of Chesapeake.

Around 5:09 a.m., dispatchers received a call for a gunshot disturbance in the 200 block of Poplar Avenue. When police arrived, they found Robinson inside of a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have not released any suspect information or the circumstances surrounding this deadly incident; however, they ask anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at Line 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
