NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run accident that left a 15-year-old girl dead.
On January 10, 2021 around 3:45 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Leo Street for the report of an accident involving an overturned vehicle. The preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a Mercedes SUV ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle. The driver and passengers of the Mercedes SUV ran from the scene before police arrived.
The 15-year-old victim was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries.
