[ARCHIVED] 70-year-old man seriously injured following hit-and-run crash; detectives seeking information

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A 70-year-old man is in the hospital with serious injuries following a vehicle crash and detectives need the public’s help catching the hit-and-run driver. 

On Saturday, January 23, 2021, around 2:00 p.m., a man was attempting to cross the street in the 7500 block of Tidewater Drive when he was struck by a silver or grey sport utility vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene before police arrived. 

The man was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in critical but stable condition.

As police continue to investigate this crash, they ask anyone who recognizes this man or knows anything about this crash to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
