NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have identified the man who died as 70-year-old Eugene P. Mosley, of Norfolk.
On January 24, 2021, shortly before 10:00 a.m. police were dispatched to the 9600 block of 20th Bay Street for the report of a stabbing victim. When officers arrived, they found Mosley suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. Mosley was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives charged, Melvin A. Eggleston, 62, of Norfolk, with second degree murder. Eggleston is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident have not been released.
