[ARCHIVED] Man arrested for homicide on Fenner Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - A man has been arrested for a shooting that left one-person dead on Fenner Street. 

On Friday, February 12th around 5:00 p.m., 31-year-old Kevin M. Gumbs was found suffering from gunshot wounds in the 7400 block of Fenner Street. Gumbs was pronounced deceased on-scene.

As a result of the investigation, Gregory A. Mayo, 29, was arrested for 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm.

Detectives have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this homicide.

Mayo is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail with no bond.
