[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian dies following crash on Sewells Point Road

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A man has died after being struck by a vehicle on Sewells Point Road Friday night.

On February 26, 2021 around 8:15 p.m., police were called to the 3600 block of Sewells Point Road for the report of a vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. When Officers arrived, they found the pedestrian suffering from serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. 

The pedestrian, later identified as, Antonio Fort, 57, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators say speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors.
