NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – The pedestrian who was hit by a car Tuesday evening has died from her injuries.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m., in the 3800 block of Larkin Street. According to investigators, a 6-year-old girl was attempting to cross Larkin Street when she was struck by a sedan.
The child was taken to Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughter where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, stayed at the scene.
Once the investigation is complete, the findings will be turned over to the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office for review.
There were no other injuries reported.
