[ARCHIVED] Man dies from following deadly shooting on Poplar Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk detectives are continuing to investigate Sunday evening’s homicide on Poplar Avenue.

On May 2, 2021 around 8:00 p.m. police responded to the 200 block of Poplar Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim, identified as Daymeion Carmon-Faison, 21, of Norfolk, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.

Detectives have not released a motive or any suspect information surrounding this incident.
