[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify man killed on Beachmont Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate the overnight shooting that has left a man dead.

On July 6, 2021, around 12:50 a.m. police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Godfrey Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. Officers arrived in the area, and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound near the intersection of Godfrey Avenue and Beachmont Avenue.

The man, identified as Johnny L. Bell, 28, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
