NORFOLK, VA – The Norfolk Animal Care and Adoption Center (NACC) is excited to announce the incorporation of Trello, a web-based visual collaboration board, to enhance their dog foster program’s online presence. The “NACC Dogs in Need of Foster” Trello board will provide the community with detailed access to the dogs available for foster as well as animal care information and foster parent materials and resources.
Foster families provide hundreds of shelter animals the extra attention and time in a home that they need to recover from illness or injury and be ready for adoption. NACC believes that the addition of Trello will increase participation in the dog foster program while encouraging overall community engagement. NACC plans to expand the use of Trello to include the cats/kittens foster program in the fall. View available animals at NACC Dogs in Need of Foster.
Visitors can view the pictures and bios of all the shelter dogs looking for foster homes – like Eddie, a 9-year-old pit bull who originally came to the shelter after his owner passed away. The staff would like to highlight Eddie, as September 20 will mark one year that he’s been with the shelter. Eddie is a smart, active dog who thrives with structure and exercise. He’s managed to capture the heart of every staff member at the shelter and they would love to see him find a home (through foster or adoption!) before his one-year anniversary.
NACC’s current operating hours are Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., closed on Thursdays, and Saturday – Sunday, noon – 6:30 p.m. No appointments necessary!
