[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify homicide victim from Lenoir Circle

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have identified the man who was killed Monday evening on Lenoir Circle.

On November 22, 2021, around 7:25 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 5800 block of Chesapeake Blvd. When first responders arrived, they found Gyasi H. M. Brathwaite, 18, of Norfolk, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Brathwaite was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. 

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the shooting took place in the 3600 block of Lenoir Circle. As this homicide investigation continues, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.
