NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) –Detectives have arrested and charged two juveniles following a vehicle theft that occurred on N. Military Highway.
On December 3, 2021, around 3:50 p.m. an Officer was flagged down by a citizen at the Wawa parking lot located at 1146 N. Military Highway. The man reported to the Officer that his car had just been stolen, and that his 8-year-old daughter was inside of the car when it was taken.
Officers in the area quickly responded to assist, and the stolen car was located. When Officers attempted to approach the car, the driver sped off.

Detectives issued the victim a summons for falsely summoning law enforcement, and he was released.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old male has been charged with: Grand larceny of a stolen vehicle, felony eluding, and conspiracy to commit larceny. A 15-year-old male has been charged with conspiracy to commit larceny.
