[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police searching for vehicle wanted in connection to shooting on Monticello Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – As detectives continue to investigate a shooting on Monticello Avenue, they are asking for help from the public locating the suspects’ vehicle seen on camera leaving the scene.

On February 11, 2022, around 1:50 a.m. Norfolk police responded to the 400 block of Monticello Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. Officers arrived and found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. The man was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

The vehicle is described as a dark colored two door sedan. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or submit a tip through the P3Tips mobile app.

Detectives have not released the motive or circumstances surrounding this incident.
