NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Police are continuing to investigate a crash that has left a woman in critical condition.
Police were dispatched around 9:00 p.m. on April 25, 2022 for the report of an accident involving a pedestrian in the 4600 block of Denver Avenue near the intersection of Alder Street. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from serious injuries.
The 29-year-old woman was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation determined the driver of the car was driving on Denver Avenue when it collided with the pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators do not believe speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
This ongoing investigation is being handled by the Norfolk Police Departments Traffic Unit.
