For over a year, a widespread phishing campaign has tricked people into visiting fake websites of popular brands. The campaign uses more than 3,000 domains to impersonate more than 100 brands such as Nike, Tommy Hilfiger and Skechers. Visitors to these fake websites enter their login credentials and financial information, allowing cybercriminals to steal their information. Since they appear legitimate and go unreported, these websites often rank high on Google searches. More people fall victim to the scam because they associate high-ranking searches with credibility and trustworthiness.
