[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police arrest commercial robbery suspect

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk Police have arrested a man following a bank robbery Monday evening. 

On December 11, 2023, around 4:20 p.m. police were dispatched to the Langley Federal Credit Union located at 7420 Granby Street for the report of an alarm call. When Officers arrived, they learned that a person had come into the location and demanded money from a clerk. 

Soon after, responding Officers were able to locate a suspect a short distance away, and after a brief foot pursuit the man was taken into custody. 

As a result of the investigation, Detectives charged Anton D. Williams Jr., 22, with robbery, conspiracy, possession of a firearm by felon, possession of ammunition by felon, and resisting arrest. 

Williams is being held without bond in the Norfolk City Jail.
