[ARCHIVED] Man dies following late-night shooting on Lindenwood Avenue

NORFOLK, Va. – (NPD) Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that has left a man dead. 

On December 20th, shortly after 8:00 p.m. police were called to the Triple C’s store located at 826 Lindenwood Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found 84-year-old James R. Carter, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. 

Carter was taken to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. 

A short time later, Officers were notified by dispatch of another man who had arrived at the hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Detectives determined the incidents to be related.
