Effective July 1, 2024, VRS has mandated that the City withhold employee (EE) and employer (ER) defined contributions from 26 paychecks instead of the historical process of over 24 paychecks.
VRS Hybrid Plan members may see a slight increase in their bi-weekly pay as a result of this change.
The City will ensure that the VRS Hybrid Rate Separation changes will be automatically processed and reflected on your pay advices beginning July 2024. VRS Plan 1 and Plan 2 members will not see any changes.
No additional action is required by individual VRS Hybrid Plan members.
