[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police searching for suspects involved in shooting on W 26th Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) –A 13-year-old girl is recovering in the hospital after being seriously hurt in a shooting Friday evening. 

Around 8:40 p.m. on July 26th, Officers were called to the 1300 block of W 26th Street for the report of a gunshot victim. When first responders arrived, they found a 13-year-old girl suffering from multiple non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. 

The 13-year-old was transported to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for treatment and is expected to recover. 

Detectives say they are looking for two men who might have been involved and are now asking anyone who was in the 1300 block of W 26th Street at the time of the shooting who witnessed anything suspicious to call the Detective Division at 757-664-7032.
