NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting Monday that left a man dead.
On November 4, 2024, around 11:55 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Hanson Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
The man, later identified as James E. Fortson Jr., 66, of Norfolk, was transported to the hospital for treatment where he died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives have not released any further details related to this homicide.
