NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have arrested a man in connection with a shooting on E Virginia Beach Boulevard in August that left another man dead.
On August 16th, around 11:50 p.m. police were called to the 5100 block of E Virginia Beach Boulevard for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found John E. Daughtry III, 18, of Norfolk, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.
Daughtry was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
As a result of this investigation, homicide detectives have charged Nasir E. Parker, 21, of Norfolk, with second-degree murder, two counts of use of a firearm, robbery, and conspiracy.
Norfolk Police arrested Parker on December 19th in the 2700 block of Princess Anne Road, and he is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
