Waterside Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic between Main Street and Martin's Lane (eastbound) and Atlantic Street (westbound) for Wine Festival.
The Carnival Sunshine will be at the cruise terminal on Saturday for both debarking and embarking passengers.
In preparation for the May 3 Carnival Sunshine turnover and Spring Wine Festival, below are the suggested routes for cruise passengers to get to the port via private vehicles or to access Cedar Grove Parking Lot, the official parking lot for Norfolk’s Cruise Port. These routes will ensure that passengers avoid the Waterside Dr. closures.
Passengers parking at Cedar Grove Parking Lot:
- From I-264W, take Exit 10 for City Hall Ave.
- Turn right onto St. Paul’s Blvd. at the bottom of the ramp.
- St. Paul’s Blvd. turns into Monticello Ave. – Cedar Grove Parking Log is on the right.
- Cedar Grove Parking Lot address: 1000 Monticello Ave.
Passengers arriving to the Port via Uber, Lyft, taxi, private vehicle pick up & drop off:
- From I-264W, take Exit 9 (on the left) for Waterside Dr.
- Turn right onto St. Paul’s Blvd.
- Turn left onto Main St.
- Turn right on Boush St. – the drop off/pick up zone is in front of Todd Jurich’s Bistro across the street from the Cruise Terminal & Nauticus.
ADA passengers arriving to the Port:
ADA passengers will be permitted to pick up and drop off in the Nauticus loop at the curb. You must show an ADA placard, ADA ID card or license plate emblem.
- From I-264W, take Exit 9 (on the left) for Waterside Dr.
- Turn right immediately onto St. Paul’s Blvd.
- Turn left on Main St.
- Show the ADA ID to the traffic control officer and enter straight into the Nauticus loop.
