Norfolk Fire-Rescue’s EMS Chief, Battalion Chief Fred Paquet, has been honored with the Excellence in EMS Award by the Tidewater EMS Council — one of the region’s most prestigious recognitions in emergency medical services.
Over the past year, Chief Paquet has led the way in implementing transformative initiatives, including NFR’s Whole Blood program, Fall Prevention initiative, pharmacy program and the launch of a Paramedic-only response unit. Each of these efforts has significantly enhanced the quality of emergency care and safety for the Norfolk community.
