[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police investigating shooting on Fife Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting Friday afternoon that left one man dead, and another man injured. 

On June 27th, around 1:00 p.m., police were called to 7246 Granby Street for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found a man in the 100 block of Fife Street who was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. 

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The man’s identity will be released pending the notification of a next-of-kin. 

Soon after, additional officers responded to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for the report of a walk-in gunshot victim. Police arrived and found a man suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. 

Detectives determined the two incidents to be related.
