[ARCHIVED] Norfolk Police identify man killed on Fife Street

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that left one man dead, and another man injured. 

On June 27th, around 1:00 p.m., police were called to 7246 Granby Street for the report of a gunshot victim. When Officers arrived, they found a man in the 100 block of Fife Street who was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. 

The man, identified as Savon L. Majette, 27, of Chesapeake, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Soon after, additional officers responded to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for the report of a walk-in gunshot victim. Police arrived and found a man suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. 

Detectives determined the two incidents to be related.
