Restrooms Open:

• April 1 - May 31
  8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• June 1 - September 30
  8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• October 1 - November 30
  8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Reservations
Lafayette park offers three picnic shelters for rental. Shelters #1 and #2 have a capacity of 100 each. Shelter #3 has a capacity of 20. For rental information, click here.

These shelters are accessed through LaVallette Avenue. Small shelters [accessed via Zoo Drive (adjacent to the Virginia Zoo and Ernie Morgan Center)] are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
