NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A 32-year-old man has been charged following a shooting in the 2300 block of E Princess Anne Road on Saturday that left one man dead and a 53-year-old woman injured.
Police responded to 2308 E Princess Anne Road around 11:50 a.m. on February 7th for the report of a shooting. When Officers arrived, they found a man and a woman to be suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
The man, later identified as Sherod S. Rogers, 47, of Norfolk, was pronounced deceased at the hospital from his injuries.
The woman’s injuries are considered to be non-life-threatening, and she is expected to recover.
As a result of the investigation, Larry L. Jackson, 32, of Hampton, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, malicious wounding, robbery, grand larceny, and use of a firearm.
Jackson is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
Detectives have not released any additional circumstances surrounding this incident.
