Norfolk’s Water Quality Rated #4 in the Nation

In a recent comparison of the drinking water quality of 100 cities in the United States, Men’s Health Magazine recognized Norfolk’s water quality as fourth best, receiving a grade of “A”, as did the top three cities, Denver, CO, Baton Rouge, LA, and Kansas City, MO.

Only Tap Water Delivers emphasizes the value of water

Norfolk Utilities, in conjunction with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) and the other Hampton Roads water utilities, is launching a new communication plan entitled Only Tap Water Delivers.

Using print and broadcast media, Only Tap Water Delivers is a campaign to help utilities and public officials communicate the value of tap water service and the need to reinvest in water infrastructure to consumers, media, and other key stakeholders.

Utilities training film wins Communicator Award of Distinction

“Jet Truck Operation”, a 10-minute training film produced by the Department of Utilities, has won the Award of Distinction in The Communicator Awards 2006 Video competition.

Locate the nearest utility bill payment location with our Google Map web page

The map includes both 'pay-in-person' and drop box locations.  You can use option buttons to view by street map, satellite picture or a hybrid (composite) of the two. Click on a location’s balloon, enter your address and let Google Maps provide driving directions for you.  The maps are 'draggable' allowing you to click and drag the map to view adjacent sections. You can even zoom in and out.
