Law Student Internship
The Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney provides a select number of unpaid internships to law students in furtherance of their legal education. Interns learn the work of the office through criminal law training sessions, in-court observation and experience, and tours of related agencies. Law students applying for an internship are encouraged to have their third year practice certificate, but other students will also be thoroughly considered. Generally, the Office hosts interns from May through August of each year. Internships can be arranged for other time periods on a case-by-case basis.
