Every September and October, thousands of ICC cleanups take place around the world. But, these aren’t your average cleanups! Volunteers will use tracking sheets to record the types and amount of litter found to help understand the root causes of litter.  

Each year, on the first Saturday of June, thousands of Virginians gather to remove harmful litter and debris from the watershed's green spaces, roadsides, rivers, and streams. In partnership with The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, this true Virginian tradition is an annual opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to give back to their local waterways.  

Live Green Norfolk is more than just an event; it’s a movement to build a stronger, more connected community. By bringing together individuals, families, City departments and local organizations, the festival aims to create lasting bonds to inspire collective action toward a more sustainable future.
