NORFOLK, Va. – Spring is right around the corner! Celebrate the season and help make our community cleaner and greener by joining Keep Norfolk Beautiful (KNB) and volunteers across the country for the Great American Cleanup, a three-month community and volunteer event.
Keep Norfolk Beautiful is kicking off the Great American Cleanup with two community events. On Friday, March 21, join KNB, WNSB Hot 91 FM and Electrified Marina at Lafayette Park (3500 Granby St.) from 10 a.m. to noon for a community cleanup. Then, on Saturday, March 22, join KNB for a beach cleanup at Community Beach Park (700 E. Ocean View Ave.) from 10 a.m. to noon. Registration is required for both events at www.norfolk.gov/gac2025.
Throughout the Great American Cleanup, running from March 1 to May 31, Keep Norfolk Beautiful invites businesses, civic groups, schools, faith-based organizations, scout troops and individuals to join a cleanup or beautifying event or plan your own park, beach, neighborhood or community cleanup. KNB provides all the supplies needed for successful cleanup, including gloves, grabbers, safety gear and follow-up reporting tools. All you need to do is register!
