Accounts Receivable (Collections)

Responsibilities

The Accounts Receivable (Collections) Division is responsible for collection of delinquent accounts receivable for:

  • False alarms
  • Fire permit and inspections
  • Fire-rescue services
  • Library lost items and overdue fines
  • Miscellaneous past due debt owed to the city
  • Nuisance abatement
  • Red light camera fines

Goals

The goal is to collect what is due to the City with empathy and respect, while maintaining and excellent and professional rapport with the Citizens of Norfolk.
